Westworld has been renewed for a second season

We’ll be getting more Westworld as just halfway through its current season, HBO have renewed the series for a second series. The announcement was made by the US network earlier today, who also confirmed that Divorce and Insecure will also get new seasons.

“I am thrilled to announce the pickup of our three fall series, all of which have distinctive, original voices,” said Casey Bloys, president of programming for the network. “Critics and viewers alike have welcomed ‘Westworld’ and ‘Insecure,’ as well as the return of Sarah Jessica Parker to the network after 12 years with ‘Divorce.’”

Westworld has been attracting and average of 11.7 million viewers across the United States and Canada, much more than Game Of Thrones’ debut season.

Westworld stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins, Jr.

It currently screens on Sky Atlantic in the UK where it has also enjoyed huge success.
