Frequent visitors to these pages know how much we loved the upcoming animated feature Sing when we caught it at the Toronto International Film Festival back in September. Well, there’s not that long to go now before it gets a nationwide release, and ahead of that, to keep whet your whistle, we have a brand new featurette to share.

Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (Academy Award® winner Matthew McConaughey), a dapper Koala who presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal optimist—okay, maybe a bit of a scoundrel—who loves his theatre above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now facing the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition.

It will have families lining up to see it as part of their festive celebrations, and have them toe-tapping their way out once the final credits have rolled. It may just be a touch overlong at a huge 110 minutes, but that won’t stop the feel good ‘X-Factor’ of this pleasing, well-cast, animated feature from Jennings and co.  that has hit written all over it.
