It feels like we’ve been harping on about La La Land for months now, and well we have, but it will still be nearly two more month before Damien Chazelle‘s glorious musical throw-back love story enters cinemas. We pray for every success for this fantastic motion picture which reunites Ryan Gosling with Emma Stone for two hours of absolute bliss.
Lionsgate are releasing the film in the UK and they have just dropped a brand new La La Land UK trailer which made me well up all over again as I watched it a couple of minutes ago… in a packed cafe in central London.
Written and directed by Chazelle, La La Land tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical about everyday life explores the joy and pain of pursuing your dreams.
John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, Finn Wittrock, Callie Hernandez, Sonoya Mizuno, Jessica Rothe, Tom Everett Scott, Josh Pence and the awesome J.K. Simmons star in the film which we called ‘one of those films that we wish we could see again for the very first time – a stunning piece of cinema …’ You can read our full La La Land review here if you want, but please, take it from us, you will need to see this at your earliest opportunity. We really would step into a screening right now and watch it all over again if we could.
