The Belko Experiment trailer has landed online following an impressive debut at the Toronto International Film Festival a couple of months back.
The film is directed by Greg McClean (Wolf Creek) from a screenplay by James Gunn (Guardians Of The Galaxy).
Here’s the official synopsis.
The Belko Experiment explores a twisted social experiment, in which a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata and ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed. It stars 10 Cloverfield Lane‘s John Gallagher Jr., Scandal‘s Tony Goldwyn, True Detective‘s Adria Arjona, John C. McGinley, Silicon Valley‘s Josh Brener, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn and Melonie Diaz, who co-starred in Fruitvale Station.
“I cannot tell you how passionate and excited I am about this project!” said Gunn on his very active Facebook page last year. “It’s a script I wrote a few years ago, for which I have always had a deep love. Believe it or not, it’s a film that first came to me in a dream, and I woke up and wrote the first draft in a two-week fugue state binge.”
The film arrives in the United States on March 17th, 2017 and, as it says above, stars the likes of Tony Goldwyn, John Gallagher Jr., Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, John C McGinley, Sean Gunn, and Melonie Diaz.
Sadly we didn’t manage to catch this at TIFF next year, but are very much looking forward to it. The film opens on the same day Stateside as Beauty and the Beast, the live-action version of the classic Disney film, so if you fancy something a little different, this could be it.
