Last night, one of the first official screenings of Assassin’s Creed took place in New York City. The film doesn’t arrive in cinemas until New Year’s Day, but ahead of the festive break, 20th Century Fox have started their publicity campaign for the highly anticipated film, which is based on the popular video game series of the same name.
Michael Fassbender leads the cast, which also includes Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Charlotte Rampling, Michael K. Willaims, and Khalid Abdalla.
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

Assassin’s Creed opens on January 1st, 2017.
