‘Taken 4’ isn’t happening, says Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson has officially gone on record to say that a fourth Taken movie is definitely not happening. The actor was Stateside to promote his new movie A Monster Calls and on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he was asked if there were any plans for a return to Bryan Mills?

“No, there’s not. There’s only so many times your daughter can be taken. Actually if we do have another it will be, ‘please can you take my daughter’?”

The franchise is, of course, heading to the small screen in a prequel TV series which will arrive in early 2017. Watch the first teaser trailer for that over here.

The Taken trilogy has ‘taken’ a massive chunk of change in the global box-office, making a whopping $929m-plus around the world, which is huge for a relatively small-budgeted action film.
