Some new images from the upcoming Alien prequel and Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant have been released. The new stills show off Katherine Waterston in the film, as well as some teasing images of some army commandos and some apparent slumber pods. The bad-ass image of Waterston as lead female protagonist Daniels comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
Michael Fassbender, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, and Billy Crudup also star, alongside Noomi Rapace, and possibly James Franco, who is still to be confirmed to play the role of the Captain of the spacecraft known as the Covenant.
Here’s the plot.
Headed toward a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they believe to be an uncharted paradise, but it is actually a dark, menacing world in which the only inhabitant is the synthetic David (Michael Fassbender), a survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
