It’s been a big night over in Los Angeles for the annual Golden Globe awards where the stars came out to celebrate a year in film. The big winner on the night was undoubtably La La Land which scooped a massive seven awards, including Best Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy, Best Director for Damien Chazelle and Best Performance By An Actor – Musical and Comedy for Ryan Gosling. It also bagged Best Performance By An Actress – Musical and Comedy for Emma Stone. It won everything it was nominated for.
Moonlihgt took Best Motion Picture – Drama, while Casey Affleck took Best Performance By An Actor – Drama for Manchester By The Sea. Best Performance By An Actress – Drama was secured by Isabelle Huppert for Elle.
A big winner in the television categories was the brilliant mini-series The Night Manager which scored best actor for Tom Hiddleston, and best supporting actor and actress for Hugh Laurie and Olivia Colman. Atlanta also did really well taking Best TV Series – Musical Or Comedy, Best Actor – Musical Or Comedy for Donald Glover. Netflix’s The Crownbagged Best TV Series – Drama, and Best Actress – Drama for Claire Foy.
American Crime Story: The People Vs. O.J. Simpson won Best Limited TV Series and Best Actress in a Limited Series for Sarah Paulson.
However, this was possibly the best moment of the night…
