We reported this way back last week, but today the news has been officially confirmed by Lucasfilm – Woody Harrelson is officially joining the Star Wars universe, and will appear in the forthcoming stand-alone Han Solo movie. StarWars.com confirmed the news.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said the film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”
Shooting starts on the movie very soon indeed with locations reportedly taking in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and Italy. The 2018 released movie also stars Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and Emilia Clarke.
