Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn to re-team for Dragged Across Concrete

Hacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson and star Vince Vaughn are set to re-unite for a new film titled Dragged Across Concrete. Deadline is reporting that Bone Tomahawk’s S. Craig Zahler is set to write and direct the crime thriller that is being sold at this month’s EFM in Berlin.

The trade bible has more about the plot of the film, which looks like it will pair the two as police partners, one from the old guard and the other younger and volatile.

The duo is suspended when a video of them strong-arming a suspect leaks to the media. They are then thrust into the criminal underworld. Meanwhile, an ex-con and his childhood friend are introduced to a ruthless crime boss whose plans put the pair in direct conflict with the renegade cops.

No word on when it will start shooting – Gibson is reportedly about to join comedy sequel Daddy’s Home 2, which is due for release as early as November. Vaughn will next be seen in Roland Joffé‘s The Forgiven.
