Temuera Morrison is in talks to join DC’s Aquaman

New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison is reportedly in talks to join the cast of DC Entertainment/ Warner Brothers’ Aquaman, the upcoming stand-alone superhero movie to be directed by James Wan. The news of his potential casting comes via The Hollywood Reporter.

The trade reports that Morrison is being kept in mind to play Aquaman’s human father. The news comes just days after we reported that Nicole Kidman is also up for the role of Aquaman’s mother, Atlanna, with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also in talks to play the villainous Black Manta.

Of course, Morrison is no stranger to the DC universe. The actor appeared as Abin Sur in 2011’s misfire Green Lantern.

Jason Momoa is playing the title character in the Aquaman film, which is set to start shooting very soon (reportedly April) for a 2018 release.
