Escape Plan 2 director named as Steven C. Miller.
Steven C. Miller has been named as the Escape Plan 2 director. Miller is responsible for the recent Marauders and Arsenal (aka Southern Fury), and will direct Sylvester Stallone and maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger in the planned sequel, which is in active development.
The Tracking Board released the news that Miller has boarded the project, which will be Chinese co-production that will be distributed in China by Leomus Pictures. The first film, released back in 2014, grossed nearly $41 million over there so it is a lucrative market.

Tough and chiseled Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) knows how to infiltrate a prison — and bust out of one. His latest job leads to a double-cross, leaving him stuck in a high-tech facility with the worst that society has to offer. Luckily for Ray, he meets Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), an inmate who secretly helps him hatch a plot to win his freedom. Only sadistic warden Hobbes (Jim Caviezel) stands in the way of the two men successfully making it out alive.
Schwarzenegger is officially still in talks to join Escape Plan 2, but we’ll bring you more as it comes our way.
