War For The Planet Of The Apes and Cloverfield director Matt Reeves is officially in talks to direct Warner Bros. housed stand-alone Batman movie. The film is written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns with Affleck reprising the role as the Caped Crusader.
The news of Reeves’ involvement comes just days after Affleck revealed that he was not intending to direct. According to Variety, although a deal hasn’t been agreed as yet, Reeves has committed to helming the stand-alone DC movie for the studio.
The trade reports that the film should start shooting by the time the year’s out. Reeves is just about to finish up on Fox’s War For The Planet Of The Apes, which will bow in cinemas in July.
