Paramount Pictures have debuted a brand new clip from their upcoming action/ adventure sequel Transformers: The Last Knight, which debuts later this summer. You can watch the new Transformers The Last Knight clip below.
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
This is possibly the last time that series helmer Michael Bay will direct a Transformers movie, after he previously sounded out that he will step down after The Last Knight. The series will continue with two more sequels planned, as well as a Bumblebee stand-alone feature, which is due in 2018. That film will be directed by none other than Kubo and the Two Strings helmer Travis Knight.
The new clip is titled Canopy, which refers to the Autobot featured in the clip, as well as a new character to the series, Izabella, played by Isabella Moner. Watch the Transformers The Last Knight clip, which premiered at this weekend’s Kids Choice Awards in Los Angeles, in our player below.
Transformers: The Last Knight will be in your multiplexes come June 23rd. More coverage as we approach that massive release date at the start of the summer.
