Tom Cruise has a huge stunt planned for ‘Mission Impossible 6’

When it comes to an actor doing their own stunts they don’t come more committed than Tom Cruise. Over the years he has achieved some incredibly dangerous deeds, from scaling the Burj Khalifa, to clinging onto an airplane. Clearly an adrenaline junkie he claims that its all in the name of art, giving the audience that extra thrill factor of seeing him in these situations.

Pre-production is underway on Mission Impossible 6 and it seems that he’s set to once more raise the stakes higher. The film goes into full production on April 10th and with Cruise traversing the globe shooting in Paris, London and New Zealand. Quite how you top clinging to a plane as it takes off remains to be seen, but we do know that Cruise has been in extensive training for the last year.

Speaking to Collider at SXSW Skydance Media CEO David Ellison had the following to say:

“After the Burj [Khalifa] we thought it was going to be impossible to top that stunt, and then Tom did the A400M for the plane. What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year. It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing.”

Unfortunately the film isn’t due for release until 27th July 2018, so we’ve a little whiles to wait.
