The final ‘Ghost in the Shell’ trailer uploads online

Ghost in the Shell releases in cinemas this Thursday (30th March). The publicity campaign has been pretty constant, with a new clip or featurette appearing on an almost daily basis. Many may feel like they’ve already watched the film, given the amount of content that has been available. This burgeoning fatigue hasn’t deterred Paramount though as they’ve just unveiled a final trailer.

The new footage offers some insight into areas that we’ve not really seen in previous trailers and gives us our first real look at Michael Pitt‘s Kuze. Give it a whirl below:

Starring Scarlett Johansson and directed by Rupert SandersGhost in the Shell is of course a live-action, English language re-imagining of the popular Manga film of the same name.

Set in a near future, Johansson plays Major. Major is the first of her kind: a human saved from a terrible crash, who is cyber-enhanced to be a perfect soldier devoted to stopping the world’s most dangerous criminals. When terrorism reaches a new level that includes the ability to hack into people’s minds and control them, Major is uniquely qualified to stop it. As she prepares to face a new enemy, Major discovers that she has been lied to: her life was not saved, it was stolen. She will stop at nothing to recover her past, find out who did this to her and stop them before they do it to others.

Ghost in the Shell arrives in UK cinemas in IMAX, 3D and regular 2D on 30th March 2017.
