Epic all-new trailer and poster for War for the Planet of The Apes

I’m quite content in saying that the return to the ‘Apes’ saga has probably been one of the most unexpectedly brilliant reboots we’ve seen… ever? Today we’ve got the first ‘full’ trailer of War for the Planet of the Apes and once again it’s utterly intense, epic and intriguing.

We did have the teaser back before Christmas but this one steps it up a notch with Woody, Caesar going to War in every respect. What’s surprised me so far is how easily it manages to fit in-between the political side of the modern world and captivate with completely believable motion capture, so much so I don’t even question the fact I’m watching talking, fighting, gun-toting Apes.

Written and directed by Matt Reeves, the War for the Planet of the Apes is the third chapter of the franchise that finds Caesar and his apes forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by Colonel, played by cult legend Woody Harrelson. It also stars the king of mo-cap Andy Serkis alongside Judy Greer, Steve Zahn to name a few.

I’m going to say it as well because this trailer holds an essence of The Dark Knight trilogy, it really does, watch it now for yourselves:

War for the Planet of the Apes is released in UK cinemas 14th July 2017.
