Daniel Craig Bond 25 news surface once again
Some Daniel Craig Bond 25 news, again. He was said to be done with the franchise following the release of SPECTRE, but it sounds like Daniel Craig may be up for at least one last adventure. We’ve speculated on his return for quite some time, but it looks like there’s a little traction following the success of Craig’s run on Broadway where he starred in a production of Othello, produced by Bond producer Barbara Broccoli. It sounds like Broccoli has “just about persuaded Daniel Craig to do one more Bond movie,” according sources over at Page Six.
“Daniel was very pleased with how ‘Othello’ went and the great reviews. Now Daniel’s talks with Barbara are going in the right direction. They have a script – screenwriting duo Neal Purvis and Robert Wade [who’ve penned several Bond movies] are writing and they’ll go into production as soon as Daniel is ready to commit.”
The next film will be the 25th official Bond movie in the series and would be the fifth film that Craig has appeared as Bond, following Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall and the aforementioned SPECTRE. Those films combined have made over $3 billion at the worldwide box-office, so it’s no surprise that producers, and indeed the cinema-going public want Craig to reprise his most famous role.
Craig’s work on screen has continued following the release of the 24th Bond movie. He appeared on-screen as a Stormtrooper in an uncredited cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, worked with Steven Soderbergh on Lucky Logan, which releases later this year, and will be seen in Deniz Gamze Ergüven‘s Kings, about the South Central riots that lead up to the Rodney King verdict, in late 2017 too.
We’ll bring you more Daniel Craig Bond 25 news as we get it.
