The 2017 Cannes Film Festival line-up has been unveiled

Cannes 2017 films unveiled: The official selection for the famous festival in the south of France has been revealed.

Cannes 2017 films

The films that will play at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival – the 70th – have been unveiled. Playing at the historic 70th festival are Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled, Michael Haneke’s Happy End, Todd Haynes’ Wonderstruck and Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, as well as two Netflix films, Okja by Bong Joon-ho and The Meyerowitz Stories by Noah Baumbach. David Lynch’s new Twin Peaks series, as well as Jane Campion’s Top Of The Lake will also screen at the festival as part of the 70th Anniversary Events program.

Opening this year’s festival is Ismael’s Ghosts, Arnaud Desplechin’s film that will screen out of competition on Wednesday 17th May. Mathieu Amalric, Marion Cotillard, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Louis Garrel lead the cast of the film, which follows a filmmaker whose life is sent into a tailspin by the return of a former lover just as he is about to start shooting a new film.

The 2017 festival kicks off in the south of France on May 17th – 28th. Of course, THN will be on the famous croisette for its entirety so check back for more coverage as the festival approaches. Here are the Cannes 2017 films listed in full. We’ll bring you more info as it comes our way.
