Boden and Fleck are responsible for the likes of Half Nelson and It’s Kind Of A Funny Story and have also directed a couple of episodes of the TV dramas The Affair, The Big C and Billions with Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti. As choices go, this is a big tick in our honest opinion for the Captain Marvel – able filmmakers with an incredible indie sensibility.
The character of Captain Marvel is also known as Carol Danvers, whose powers include flight, enhanced strength, durability and the ability to shoot concussive energy bursts from her hands. According to the official Marvel description, the character Ms. Marvel is a skilled pilot & hand to hand combatant. She is 5 feet eleven tall and first appeared in the Marvel Super-Heroes #13 comic book all of the way back in 1967.
Captain Marvel is gearing up for a March 2019 release with Marvel guru Kevin Feige at the helm as producer, as he is on all of the movies.
Niki Caro, Rebecca Thomas, and even Angelina Jolie have apparently been linked with film before, but, although unconfirmed, it seems that the Captain Marvel movie directors have been found.
Boden and Fleck wowed audiences with the stunning gambling drama Mississippi Grind with Ben Mendelsohn and Ryan Reynolds, who of course plays the hugely popular character of Deadpool in the Fox-housed Marvel universe. The two have also been added to the IMDB description page for Captain Marvel, which lists them as the co-directors.
