Insidious 4 has been pushed back to January 2018

The fourth film in the incredibly popular Insidious series has been put back to January 2018. The film was set to be released on October 20th, just in time for the Halloween period, but Screen Daily are now reporting that the film will now not see audiences until January 5th, 2018.

Universal’s Half To Death will now reportedly take the spot vacated by Insidious 4.

Leigh Whannell wrote the script for the film, which sees Lin Shaye star as a parapsychologist who experiences a haunting in her family home. Adam Robitel directs.

There doesn’t seem to be a specific reason for the horror movie sequel’s jump in release date, but we’ll bring you more as it comes in.
