Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 UK box-office: The latest Marvel movie smashes records
The incredibly well-reviewed Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 has debuted at the top of the UK box-office over the bank holiday weekend and instantly became the second biggest opening film of the year. Only Disney’s Beauty and the Beast surpassed the £17.85 million in revenue that the Marvel Studios sequel received from UK fans since Friday. After just 4 days, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is bigger than the lifetime grosses of Captain America (£10.3m), Thor (£14m), Ant-Man (£16.3m) X-Men Origins: Wolverine (£16.3m), Superman Returns (£16.4m) , Batman Begins (£16.5m) and Iron Man (£17.4m) from the MCU and DC universe. Its haul is huge.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Sean Gunn, Tommy Flanagan, Laura Haddock, with Sylvester Stallone, and Kurt Russell. Kevin Feige is producing, and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nikolas Korda and Stan Lee are the executive producers.
