This could be perfect casting. The Internet is rife with speculation that Beauty and the Beast and Frozen star Josh Gad is to play The Penguin in a future DC movie. The rumours stem from a tweet on Gad’s feed that appeared early yesterday. This.

Obviously, it may amount to nothing, but it could mean that we could see Gad play the iconic character in a future DC movie. Of course, there are many in production that the character could slip in to. There’s The Batman, which will be directed by Matt Reeves, Gotham City Sirens, the Suicide Squad from David Ayer, Batgirl from Joss Whedon and Nightwing from Chris McKay.
