The Purge TV series will focus on non-Purge days

Speaking at the NBC upfront presentation Stateside Jason Blum has revealed more details regarding his planned TV series based on the film franchise The Purge. The movies are set around the one day of the year where all crime is legal for 12 hours.

It sounds like the new show will be slightly different than the movies, with the action concentrated on the 364 days of the year and how the enforcement of the law affects people.

James DeMonaco is writing, directing and executive producing the series which will run on the USA Network and Syfy in 2018.

More as we get it.
