It is with great sadness that we must report the news of the passing of Sir Roger Moore. The former James Bond and star of The Saint, passed away in Switzerland on Tuesday (May 23rd).
His children Deborah, Geoffrey and Christian released a statement on Twitter this afternoon.

“With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated,” the statement read.
Moore, who had over 90 credits to his name, including classic James Bond movies like Live and Let Die and The Spy Who Loved Me, was loved the world over. According to the release from the family, Sir Roger “passed away today… after a short but brave battle with cancer.”
A private funeral will take place in Monaco, as per the late actor’s wishes.
