Coen brothers TV western The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs to shoot in July

Production on the Coen brothers’ western TV series The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs is set to kick off next month, according to sources over at The Playlist. The project is Joel and Ethan Coen’s first foray into the realms of television and sees them take to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the shoot in July.

According to the same source, the TV series, which is described as a drama/ comedy, will tell the stories of six individuals weave together in the old West at the end of the Civil War.

Of course, the duo are no stranger to the western genre having served a pretty decent remake of True Grit a few years back. The pair will write and direct the series. No news on who will lead the cast, and there is no network or streamer mentioned as the outlet for airing as yet.

Not much more is known about The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs at all, bar the above, but we’ll obviously keep you posted.
