It seems only fitting that the Borg Vs McEnroe trailer has landed on what is the first day of the prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament. The trailer was exclusively debuted by Empire magazine earlier this morning and shows the first real footage from the real-life drama, which stars Shia LaBeouf as legendary U.S. tennis player John McEnroe and Sverrir Gudnason as Bjorn Borg. The two tennis greats met many times in the 1970s and 1980s when they were at their peak, but this new film focusses on the famous rivalry between Borg and McEnroe at the 1980 Wimbledon Championships.

Janus Metz Pedersen directs the new movie, which also features the acting talents of one Stellan Skarsgård. Tuva Novotny, and Robert Emms also star, while Ronnie Sandahl wrote the script.
