Ed Sheeran continues on his quest to conquer the world and looks like he may be moving into the movie world. In a recent interview, the Galway Girl star expressed interest in bringing a biopic to screens, a little bit like what Eminem did in 8 Mile all those years ago. Ed Sheeran movie would feature new songs from the British singer
Speaking with Q Magazine, Sheeran said: “I want to have an 8 Mile moment but 8 Mile meets Notting Hill.” He added: “Not gritty like Detroit but, like, Ipswich.”
“I’ve got loads of songs about Ipswich that haven’t come out so I could make a soundtrack.”
Wow. He previously commented on his want to tell his story on screen in an interview with The Sun newspaper.

“I really want to make a film that I do the soundtrack for and star in – that’s my next thing,” he said.
“I look at a film like Notting Hill and I think that’s like a brilliant benchmark, or Once. So if you were to mix Notting Hill with Once, I would say that would be a good start.”
Sheeran is currently in the U.S. on a sell-out world tour. It was reported yesterday that the singer and songwriter, who wowed Glastonbury a couple of weeks ago, quit Twitter over horrific comments made by followers.
“I’ve actually come off Twitter completely. I can’t read it,” he told The Sun newspaper. “I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I’ve come off it.”
“The head-f*** for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much.”
