Here’s Your First Look At ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 8

Shooting is off and running on the eighth season of The Walking Dead over in Georgia, and today we have our first official photo from the upcoming run, which will start in October. The image, of show faves Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride), arrives courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, who also managed to get a news byte from executive producer and showrunner Scott Gimble.

“The season finale last year, seeing all the characters together interacting as one, was thrilling. It was exciting to see all these configurations of characters we hadn’t seen before. Even Aaron merely giving Jerry an apple felt satisfying…This is that times a million…Though it would be cool if the season began with just everybody giving each other apples. I’d be down with that…but it’s not that.”

Not sure if I personally would be down with that as I really struggles with certain elements of the last season. This year, the residents of Alexandria, the Hilltop, and the Kingdom will unite against the current villain of the piece, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

The Walking Dead will return this fall on AMC in the U.S. and on Fox in the U.K.
