The sequel to the hit musical movie Mamma Mia has gained two more cast members. Christine Baranski, who we know from The Good Fight, and Lily James, who was last seen in Baby Driver, have joined the movie over at Universal Pictures, which is scheduled to start filming very soon. Deadline bagged the news of the new casting.

The full title of the new film is Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and will also see the return of original cast members Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth, and of course the iconic music of ABBA.

James is to play the younger version of Streep’s character in the film with the story revolving around past relationships of the key characters, which will be told in flashback.

Ol Parker (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) is writing the screenplay for the film.

The original Mamma Mia was a huge hit in cinemas, grossing $600 million, while the stage show on which it was based continues to pack in audiences every day around the globe.
