Some new images have arrived online from the first episode of the new season of Game Of Thrones, which makes its way to HBO this coming Sunday evening. The season premiere will air on Sky Atlantic on Monday evening. The new run will conclude six weeks later on August 27, 2017.
Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, and Kit Harington all return for the penultimate series of one of the most popular shows on television, with the eight season set to conclude proceedings.
The seventh season arrives slightly later in the calendar due to very specific reasons revealed by the showrunners.
“We’re starting a bit later because, you know, at the end of this season, winter is here, and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. We kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”
