Production has officially started on Johnny English 3. The film is the second sequel to the 2003 spy spoof Johnny English, which starred Rowan Atkinson as the title character, a secret agent for fictional British spy agency MI7.
Atkinson is reprising his role for the new movie, which is set up over at Working Title Films, the production company behind the first two movies. The original Johnny English movie was produced for $40 million, but went on to take a massive $160 million at the global box-office, a number that was matched by its 2001 sequel Johnny English Reborn.
David Kerr is directing this time around but there are no further details available plot-wise or casting wise.
