One of the highlights of this year’s Cannes Film Festival back in May was the Robert Pattinson-led drama Good Time from the brothers Josh and Ben Safdie (The Pleasure Of Being Robbed, Daddy Longlegs). The film was warmly received by critics and the public, and the film has been given a release date in the UK and Ireland of 17th November. We have the first Good Time UK trailer and the poster below.
Good Time UK Trailer and Poster
After a botched bank robbery lands his younger brother in prison, Constantine Nikas (Robert Pattinson) embarks on a twisted odyssey through the city’s underworld in an increasingly desperate—and dangerous—attempt to get his brother out of jail. Over the course of one adrenalized night, Constantine finds himself on a mad descent into violence and mayhem as he races against the clock to save his brother and himself, knowing their lives hang in the balance.
Jennifer Jason Leigh, Benny Safdie, Buddy Duress, Taliah Lennice Webster, and Barkhad Abdi make up the rest of the cast.
Here’s a little of what we had to say in our original review from the Cannes Festival:
Good Time has so much depth in terms of what it is trying to convey, reminding us very much of the early work of Nicolas Winding Refn, which is not only due to its genre, but also the stunning, building, booming music soundtrack laced through it. Intense, sometimes emotional, and full of well-written characters with tons of frenetic energy from its two directors, Good Time is one of the biggest surprises, and indeed one of the best crime movies of the year. You will have a ‘Good Time’ indeed.
