Schwarzenegger: ‘Terminator 6’ Will Go Back To Basics

Terminator movies ranked from best to worst

In early 2018, Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to one of his biggest roles in a sixth Terminator movie. After the relatively poor performance of the last movie, Terminator Genisys, which was released in 2015, it seems that it’s all change with the new movie. James Cameron is overseeing the movie, but Tim Miller (Deadpool) is directing.

In a recent interview with Business Insider, Schwarzenegger revealed that the script will be stripping things way back to basics, only leaving key characters involved. Here’s what he had to say:

“I think Cameron and Tim came up with a concept where they can continue on with the T-800 but make a whole new movie. What they are doing now with this one is basically to just take a few very basic characters, like Linda Hamilton’s character and my character, and dismiss everything else. Just move away from all these rules of the timeline and other characters”.

Hamilton will reprise the role of Sarah Connor in the film.

Filming will kick off in March for a release during the summer of 2019. We’ll bring you more as we get it.
