Deathstroke Movie In The Works From Warner Bros. & The Raid‘s Gareth Evans

Deathstroke movie director could be The Raid’s Gareth Evans

Joe Manganiello is attached to play the character in the film, having previously been linked to it to star in Ben Affleck’s early screenplay for The Batman stand-alone.

Deathstroke was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, and first appeared in “The New Teen Titans” #2 back in 1980. DC has more background on the character.

A man is only as good as his word. But in the underground world of assassins, mercenaries, and guns-for-hire, words mean little. What matters is action and follow through—completing the mission. That’s what makes you good. Never failing—even when it comes to taking down the World’s Greatest Super Heroes, some of the most powerful beings in the world—that’s what makes you the best. That’s what makes you Deathstroke.

There are no timescales mentioned as yet, but Evans is certainly an excellent and exciting choice for the role of director. The Raid movies are two of the best and indeed most inventive action films to have graced the screen in the last ten years.

Before Deathstroke, Evans will release Apostle, a film about a mysterious man who travels to a remote island and attempts to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a religious cult. That movie will be distributed by Netflix, and will hit the streamer sometime in 2018.

We’ll bring you more on the project as it comes in. Let us know your thoughts on the Deathstroke movie director news below.
