‘Creed 2’ Gets An Official Release Date

Creed 2 has received an official release date. The film, which is yet to start shooting, will debut in U.S. cinemas on November 21st, 2018. The announcement was made as it became known that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and Annapurna Pictures (Annapurna) are entering a new U.S. distribution deal together.

Creed 2 will be released in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures with Sylvester Stallone set to write and direct. Michael B. Jordan is expected to return as the title character, Adonis Creed, while there are rumours that Dolph Lundgren is also on board, returning as his character from Rocky IV, Ivan Drago.

It has been said that Creed will take on Drago’s son in the movie, though nothing is confirmed as yet. One thing to bear in mind with the Creed 2 release news is that the first film was released in the UK a number of months after its Stateside debut, so don’t be surprised if the same happens with the sequel.

We will, of course, keep you updated.
