Collider are reporting that another X-Men spin-off movie is in active development at 20th Century Fox. Tim Miller, who brought Deadpool to screens a couple of years back is reportedly behind the project, which focuses upon the character of Kitty Pryde.
Here’s some more info on the character from the Marvel Wikia:
Katherine Pryde was the daughter of Carmen and Theresa Pryde, and was born in Deerfield, Illinois. According to the hologram of Operation Zero Tolerance’s Shadowcat sub-file 604842, Katherine Pryde, as a baby, was abducted by a Neo and replaced by another baby who would grow as Kitty Pryde, Aka Shadowcat, of the X-Men. It was decided by the X-Men who had been subjected to many similar holograms to stand on the belief that they were nothing else than attempts to disturb them.
Miller is also developing a movie based upon the beloved Sega character Sonic The Hedgehog, and will also be helming a new Terminator movie, so he’s a very busy boy. There’s also the small detail that 20th Century Fox are potentially being bought by Disney in 18 months’ time, so while the Kitty Pryde project is in active development, it’s got a few hurdles to get over before moving closer to the screen.
