It’s out in just a couple of months, and we’ve not seen too much in terms of promotional material for it yet, but Solo: A Star Wars Story, the second stand-alone adventure will definitely be hitting its May release worldwide. Lucasfilm today released an official synopsis for the upcoming film, based around the early adventures of Han Solo.

“Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.”
Starring in the film is Alden Ehrenreich as Han, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson is playing Han’s mentor, Beckett, while Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge also star.
The eta for Solo: A Star Wars Story is May 25th, 2018. More news as we get it.
