Michael Bay Might Direct The ‘Lobo’ Movie For DC/ Warner Bros.

TheWrap is reporting that Michael bay could be up to direct the planned Lobo movie over at DC Films and Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is being set-up as part of the current universe that the studio is developing, and apparently Bay recently met with those that matter to give notes on the screenplay which, according to the report, are being worked into a rewrite by Jason Fuchs.

The trade says that the film could be DC’s answer to Deadpool with the story centering on a blue-skinned, 7-foot-tall, heavily muscled antihero alien who works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. The character became popular among DC fans following his revival in the early ’90s as a biker anti-hero.

Lobo has taken on the likes of Superman, Hal Jordan, Martian Manhunter, and Deathstroke in the comics, so this could be a big project that may see some familiar faces pop up.

Brad Peyton was previously attached to the project, but now the studio will reportedly show the finished screenplay to Bay hoping to carve out a deal for him to direct.

More as it comes in.
