A ‘Den Of Thieves 2’ Is On The Way Starring Gerard Butler

Den Of Thieves

We were big fans of Den Of Thieves when it was released in UK cinemas just a couple of weeks ago, so it is with great joy that we can reveal that a sequel to the film is on the way from STX Films. Christian Gudegast (London Has Fallen) will return as writer and director, while Gerard Butler and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson will also return to star in the action thriller.

In the first movie, Gerard Butler starred as Nick O’Brien, the hard-drinking leader of the Regulators, an elite unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Ray Merrimen is the recently paroled leader of the Outlaws, a gang of ex-military men who use their expertise and tactical skills to evade the law. O’Brien, Merrimen and their crews soon find themselves on a direct collision course as the criminals hatch an elaborate plan for a seemingly impossible heist — the city’s Federal Reserve Bank.

The first film has scored a respectable $57 million around the world during its cinemas run. The ending was left a little open for more action and O’Shea Jackson, Jr., who also appeared in the first movie, is said to be in active negotiations to return for more too.
