How Modern Technology Would Have Ruined These Classic Movies

The film industry has been thriving for over 100 years now, and throughout its history we’ve been treated to some absolute classics. But movies are products of their time, something that this new tool, created by the folks over at SunLife, reveals.

The animated device focuses on how modern technology could ruin some classic movies, and there are some absolute gems in there. For example, can you imagine if Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary 1960s movie Psycho were made today? Can you imagine people Googling the famous Bates Motel for reviews?

Or how about The Wizard Of Oz? Dorothy an co. venture off on a wondrous journey down the yellow brick road to a faraway land, but wouldn’t it have been oh so much easier (and quicker) with a map app?

The fun post also refers to other classic movies, including Sixteen Candles, The Shawshank Redemption – imagine if Andy Dufresne’s cell had CCTV – Casablanca, Titanic (could the catastrophe have been avoided if the boat had radar), and even Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan love-in You’ve Got Mail, arguably one of Hanks’ finest romantic comedies.

There’s tons of fun to be had with the post. Head on over to the SunLife website to take a look.
