Shooting Has Wrapped On Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’

It has been going before the cameras for a little while, but now Martin Scorsese’s $100 million-plus Netflix movie The Irishman has officially wrapped shooting. Revealing the news on his official Instagram page, Scorsese confirmed that the cameras were being put to bed on the lavish production, which has been filming on the streets of New York for the past few months.

The Irishman is based on the novel ‘I Heard You Paint Houses’, and revolves around the  mob hitman Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran who was allegedly involved in the death of Jimmy Hoffa. Robert De Niro plays the role, and is joined by the likes of Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel and Joe Pesci. It is slated for a 2019 due to the huge computer generated effects process needed to de-age some of the actors in some scenes.

That work starts now.
