Cars associated with famous movies!

There are some movies that you can recognize by just seeing the vehicle that was used by the main actor. Such vehicles have become very famous over the years regardless of when the films were released. Any movie addict will tell you the model and make of the vehicle that was in a certain movie without a problem. Such cars include:

1) Scooby-Doo, Where are you! – 1963 Ford Econoline Custom Van

This cartoon is well-known by many people who enjoyed it back in the day. The 1963 Ford Econoline Custom Van graced this film, and every child could recognize it from anywhere. This was just a cartoon car that came to the TV screens in 1969 for the first time when the Scooby-Doo movie was started. The van has, without a shred of doubt, brought a lot adventures to the Mystery Inc. crew. Up to date, it has remained as one of the most memorable cars in TV history.

2) Goldfinger – Aston Martin DB5

This is another vehicle that got stuck in people’s tongues for a long time. James Bond’s vehicle only took 13 minutes on the screen to earn its most famous car in the globe’s title. Its gadgets are still considered the most memorable thing about the Goldfinger movie. This vehicle came back to the screens when James Bond appeared in his next movie, the Thunderball. Aston Martin DB5 had bulletproof windows, and its registration plates would revolve naturally. Other features included various defense mechanisms and an ejector seat. The vehicle is, no doubt, one of the most famous cars of all time.

3) Miami Vice – 1975 Ferrari

This vehicle was originally bought by Volo Auto Museum before Jeff Allen’s TV show. It had obviously been used previously in films. When it was bought, it needed a lot of repairs and ended up being repainted and its interiors redone. Later on, Universal Studios bought 2 Daytona Ferrari replicas for the show. These cars came with Corvette chassis. However, Ferrari was not amused by their use of replicas and even sued the company manufacturing them. They also offered to give their latest model for the show. As part of a deal with Ferrari, the Daytona ended up getting blown up in the third season since they wanted it removed from the show and its memories erased from viewer’s minds.

4) Lost – 1968 Volkswagen T2A

The likable TV series Lost brought to the screens a new look to the old 1986 Volkswagen T2A. One glimpse at the car would remind anyone of a safari in Africa, especially in the southern regions of this continent. This is a vehicle that anyone would buy for just a leisurely drive. It might be the reason it has been nicknamed the camper. Just like with any other Volkswagen, its engine was found at the back, and it was also air-cooled. It had vintage taillights that gave it a personality as part of its allure.
