HBO has released the new trailer for The Tale, the brand new film from HBO which premiered to very positive reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Laura Dern leads the cast, which also includes Ellen Burstyn, Common, Frances Conroy, John Heard and Isabelle Nelisse.
Jennifer (Laura Dern), a journalist, is compelled to examine her past and a sexual relationship she had when she was thirteen after her mother uncovers one of her childhood stories.
This one has been getting some extremely positive reviews, and in a surprise move, was snapped up by the cable channel at the festival. It will screen on HBO Stateside on May 26th. Here’s the trailer. We’ll bring you news on a UK release as we get it.
