The First Footage From The New ‘Halloween’ Film Has Debuted At CinemaCon

The first footage from the upcoming Halloween movie from David Gordon Green has debuted at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and it sounds amazing. The footage premiered in Sin City as part of Universal’s presentation at the annual event.

One of the original movie’s stars, Jamie Lee Curtis, who reprises her role as Laurie Strode, took to the stage where she exclaimed that the new movie will “scare the living shit out of you,” adding that the film is “old school meets new school with Laurie at the center of it… who has turned into a warrior.”

Sounds great, right?

@PiyaSRoy had more to add about the film’s plot: “it follows a true crime investigative team making a doc about the 40-year-old incident, and of course things go wrong and MICHAEL MYERS ESCAPES and heads straight for Laurie Strode.”

Wow.

Another man on the ground was Rooster Teeth’s Eric Vespe, an extremely solid source. Here’s a series of tweets that he shared immediately after the presentation.

David Gordon Green directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Danny McBride. The film is in the can, shooting having concluded on February 19.

Halloween will open on October 19th, roughly six months from now. More as we get it.
