Olivia Newton-John “Would Consider” A Return To ‘Grease’

As we all know, Grease celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and the original cast has been out and about to promote a limited re-release in cinemas Stateside. Simon Thompson over at Forbes caught up with Sandy herself, Olivia Newton-John to talk to her about her iconic role, and even asked her thoughts to a potential follow-on to the original movie.

Thompson asked whether she would be up for a return to either Grease or Xanadu?

I think it’s a bit late now,” Newton-John said. “What would you do? Put us in a nursing home? I can’t imagine that working now but you never know what someone could come up with. If there was a great idea then, of course, we would consider it, or at least I would. If John was up for it then I think I would be too but we couldn’t do it without each other. Let’s see what the future brings.”

Stranger things have happened – and after all – it is the time for big reboots and delayed sequels.
