Vin Diesel is out and about promoting the new Fast & Furious: Supercharged ride down at Universal, and when talking about the new attraction on The Today Show Stateside, the actor, and producer on the series seemed to spill the beans on a potential director for the upcoming two sequels that are in development. Justin Lin.
“It does get bigger. I just got off the phone with Justin Lin, who is directing Fast nine and Fast ten and I can’t tell you how excited he is!” he said to the morning show.
If this is true, it’s big news as Lin is a franchise stalwart, directing the third, fourth, fifth and sixth movies in the hugely successful franchise.
There’s more. When The Today Show asked what we could expect to see in the movies or indeed where they might be set, Diesel said: “We haven’t been to Africa, I will tell you, and we are long overdue.”
Here’s the full segment from The Today Show. More as we get it.
