John Wick: Chapter 3, which arrives in cinemas in exactly one year’s time, has cast Halle Berry, Angelica Huston and more.
The Hollywood Reporter reports the news of the new castings, and also has the plotline for the third adventure in the action series.
The story picks up after the events of Chapter 2, which finds Wick, a former assassin who tried and failed to live the quiet life, with a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. After killing a member of the shadowy international assassin’s guild, the High Table, John Wick is “excommunicado,” but the world’s most ruthless hit men and women await his every turn.
As her social post states above, Halle Berry will play the character of Sofia in the sequel. Not a lot more is known, but the trade did confirm that the character will NOT be a villain.
Huston will reportedly play a figure known as The Director, while Asia Kate Dillon (Billions) has joined the project as The Adjudicator of the High Table.
THR adds that Mark Dacascos and Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman from The Raid will play assassins in the movie.
Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick are all reprising their roles from the first two movies in the series.
John Wick: Chapter 3 will release on May 17, 2019.
