Paramount Players Picks Up ‘Creepy Crawlers’

Paramount Players, an arm of Paramount Pictures, has picked up the film rights to Creepy Crawlers, based on the 1980s toy property.

Variety reports the news of the acquisition, saying that a film version will revolves around the classic toy molds of all sorts of creepy and slimy bugs. Exact plot details are being kept under-wraps.

What we do know is that Neal H. Moritz will produce with Marc Gurvitz and Toby Ascher. Moritz is best known for the likes of The Fast and the Furious and 21 Jump Street, but he has also produced the likes of the more recent Goosebumps movie and its upcoming sequel.
