The first teaser trailer for BBC drama Luther starring Idris Elba has been released online. The 30-second promo, which doesn’t appear to be showing off any footage from the new season, the fifth run, hit the BBC YouTube channel on Tuesday.
It only came with the following description:
Award winning crime drama series starring Idris Elba as Luther, a near-genius murder detective whose brilliant mind can’t always save him from the dangerous violence of his passions.
Elba returns as the title character in the new run, due on screens later this year as a four-parter. More as we get it. Here’s the teaser.
